Clovis is a city in and the county seat of Curry County, New Mexico. The population was 38,567 at the 2020 census. A community full of friendly people and a rich history rooted in music, agriculture and community partnerships centered on the continued growth and development of the city.
The Hillcrest Park Zoo has been providing family fun in Clovis since the 1930s. As the second largest zoo in New Mexico, Hillcrest Zoo features more than 150 animals (63 different species), including giraffes, zebras, monkeys, hyenas and even a magnificent Bengal tiger.
